Curtin Memorial Library

Mission Statement

The mission of the Curtin Memorial Library is to acquire, organize and disseminate recorded information that supports the organizational programs and research efforts of the Mount Saint Mary College community and that prepares students with the information literacy skills necessary to function responsibly as independent researchers within an ever changing society.

In keeping with this mission statement, the library goals are:

Goal 1:
Provide and maintain bibliographic, electronic, and human resources that support the academic programs and research needs of library users.

Goal 2:
Teach student and library users, information literacy and the skills needed to access recorded information.

Goal 3:
View the library as a dynamic system requiring continuous evaluation.

Goal 4:
Encourage more students and faculty to use library resources, at the library and from off-campus.
